MORĂRENILOR POND
Hidden in an area of peace and serenity, Morărenilor Pond is a place of rare beauty. On clear and sunny days, the Rooster’s Comb mirrors in the pond, offering a breathtaking scenery.
Located just outside of the village of Breb, in the upper part of Piemontul Gutâi, at an altitude of 853 m. Morărenilor Pond or “Tăul Brebului”, as the locals call it, was formed by a landslide and is almost circular, holding 4,300 m² of water, a pH of 7.0 and a maximum depth of 20m.
Terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems developed in these special habitats, represented by isolated reproductive flora and fauna, such as pond clover, arnica, and ligularia.
